Tết Trung Thu với người Việt Nam là cái tết lớn thứ 3 trong năm (sau Tết Nguyên Đán, Tết Hàn Thực và Tết Đoan Ngọ). Theo phong tục, mỗi dịp Tết lại có những thứ bánh đặc trưng riêng gắn với những sự tích, nguồn gốc ra đời của của ngày Tết đó. Nhắc đến Tết Trung Thu không thể không nhắc đến chiếc bánh nướng, bánh dẻo. Ngắm trăng thu mà không thưởng thức miếng bánh nướng, bánh dẻo thì thật là thiếu sót. Tết Trung thu còn gọi là Tết Đoàn viên, đây là dịp để mọi người trong gia đình sum vầy bên nhau cùng thưởng thức chiếc bánh Trung thu nhỏ xinh trong ngày Rằm tháng 8 nhưng không phải ai cũng hiểu được ý nghĩa của chiếc bánh này. Xuất xứ bánh Trung thu
Bánh Trung thu có nguồn gốc xuất xứ từ Trung Quốc và được truyền bá đến Việt Nam. Cứ đến ngày Rằm tháng 8, người dân Việt không ai quên mua những chiếc bánh Trung thu nhỏ xinh về để cúng bàn thờ tổ tiên, sau đó cùng nhau thưởng thức. Ngày Tết Trung thu cũng được coi là ngày lễ lớn thứ 3 trong năm tại Việt Nam.
Tương truyền rằng, cuối thời Nguyên của Trung Quốc có hai vị lãnh tụ của phong trào nông dân khởi nghĩa là Chu Nguyên Chương và Lưu Bá Ôn. Hai vị này đã tổ chức nhân dân vùng lên chống lại bè lũ thống trị tàn bạo. Để có thể truyền đạt tin tức và mệnh lệnh một cách bí mật, người ta đã làm những chiếc bánh hình tròn, trong những chiếc bánh này đều có nhét thêm một tờ giấy ước định thời gian khởi nghĩa là lúc trăng sáng nhất trong đêm rằm tháng 8 âm lịch. Sau đó những chiếc bánh này được người ta truyền đi cho nhau và trở thành một phương tiện liên lạc vừa an toàn lại vừa hiệu quả. Cũng từ chiếc bánh mà tin tức hô hào khởi nghĩa đã được truyền đi khắp nơi. Về sau người Trung Quốc lấy việc làm bánh Trung thu vào ngày Rằm tháng 8 để kỷ niệm sự kiện ấy.
Ý nghĩa
Vào ngày Rằm tháng 8, người ta thường tặng nhau những chiếc bánh Trung thu với ý nghĩa chúc cho mọi điều trong cuộc sống được tròn đầy, viên mãn, chính bởi điều này mà chiếc bánh là món ăn, món quà có giá trị tinh thần không thể thiếu trong ngày Tết Trung thu. Ở Việt Nam gồm hai loại bánh là bánh dẻo và bánh nướng.
– Bánh dẻo: được làm từ bột nếp trắng tinh nhồi với đường và nước hoa bưởi thơm lừng, đúc trong khuôn gỗ hoặc khuôn nhựa hình tròn, nhân làm bằng hột sen hay đậu xanh tán nhuyễn – mang sắc thái của đất nước Việt Nam. Hình tròn của bánh thể hiện hình dáng vầng trăng thu tròn và trắng ngà trong biểu tượng ý nghĩa “đoàn viên gia đình” và nhất là tình yêu khăng khít giữa vợ chồng với nhau.
– Bánh nướng gồm hai phần: vỏ bánh và thân bánh. Vỏ bánh làm bằng bột mì dậy men trộn với trứng gà và chút rượu, nhân có thể được làm bằng đậu xanh, khoai môn hay hột sen tán nhuyễn bao bọc lấy lòng đỏ trứng muối có mùi vani hay sầu riêng; nhân thập cẩm gồm đủ thứ như dăm bông, thịt lợn, vi yến, dừa, hạt dưa, ngó sen, bí đao… Hình tròn trong nhân là biểu hiện của sự tròn đầy, viên mãn. Vị mặn của trứng muối bị vị ngọt của những nguyên liệu khác trung hòa, điều này gợi cho ta đến một liên tưởng: trong cuộc sống, dù thường ngày có nếm trải qua bao nhiêu đắng cay khổ sở thì vẫn có những người thân luôn bên ta, bao bọc chở che ta và trao cho ta vị ngọt của tình thương của cuộc sống. Cũng giống như chiếc bánh Trung thu, trong mặn có ngọt, tạo nên hương vị đậm đà của cuộc sống.
Dù đi đâu về đâu, nhưng đến Tết Trung thu, mọi người thường háo hức, cố gắng sắp xếp công việc để có thể về đoàn tụ cùng gia đình, trao cho nhau những hộp bánh ngọt ngào, mang đậm hương vị quê hương và ý nghĩa của cuộc sống.
